The Restoration of 2000 - Before and After

The cemetery fell into disrepair over 80 years ago. It had been desecrated numerous times. There was a
partial restoration in 1988, followed by a desecration in 1990. These pictures were taken in 1967 and 1999.

Notice the small flag in the picture on the right.  It marks the grave of a Southern Civil War Veteran.

The picture on the left was taken after the 1988 restoration.  Notice the large number of stones leaning against the old, rusty fence. The picture on the right was taken in January, 2001.  Note the new fence and straight rows of headstones.

A portion of the Anne Marder Garden.  The garden is bordered by all of the headstones whose location could not be identified. Wildflowers will be planted arround the arrangement of  headstones.
